Brand new resource for kids homework questions about the Christian faith

If you have kids in school and want to find out about the Christian faith, there’s not a lot of information around.  Some of it is old fashioned and boring.  So we thought we would try to put it right.  Tell us if we got it right! The site is new but expanding rapidly.  We are aiming to have a complete Easter resource including history, stories and pictures by Easter. http://kids.splatontheweb.org/

I did a set of pictures a couple of years ago and a number of people use them as part of the contemplation of  Easter in their assemblies and Easter reflection.  I guess you could use them in church as part of your Easter service ideas on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.  Though I would suggest Easter Sunday you could use the plastic Easter eggs outline.  The images are free to use, but please credit me where possible.

Here’s a sample of a picture from the download.

You can download the full powerpoint <HERE…> Note: 6Mb download | right click and choose ‘save target as…’ then save it somewhere where you will remember

The copyright information to supply is as follows:

This powerpoint is free to use and distribute in digital form.  Wherever the images or powerpoint is used please display an in-text link to www.onegraydot.com and a link to www.assemblyideas.wordpress.com. -but you can do this discreetly!

You may post these images on websites individually if you wish, with a copy of these links.  Many thanks.  No use may be made of these images may be made for financial gain without the permission of the artist, Andrew Gray.  Please contact andyg@onegraydot.co.uk

The link above should look something like this:

If you use them in a school and you have a website (could be a church or personal blog etc), please put a link from your site to mine, just to show credit.  This won’t cost you anything, but does wonders for my search rankings!

If you are a school, then just credit is fine on the display.

If you aren’t sure, email me.  Certainly don’t let it stop you using them!

One use that I have used of these pictures in the past is to print them off and then give groups of children the separate images in envelopes as packs.  I give the children the chance to put the story together as they think it should be, then I tell the story to see if they got it in the right order.  You can also use it after the main story and give the children a chance to tell each other the story.

I usually use the resurrection in the DVD miracle maker story too.

Final thing you can do with the pictures is to copy and paste them into a bookmark form in the right order, like a film strip, to give to the children individually to take home from an Easter service.  In fact I think that’s a good idea, and I am going to go and price it up myself now!

(post script: I will be updating the onegraydot website shortly to wordpress!)
