Peter’s Dream: inclusion and the new church

I have taken to using mindmaps more again because they are quicker and I can see patterns better which helps in finding the main points in the story and the retelling, which requires rhythm.

The story about Peter and Cornelius is about inclusion, in this case, and the Missio Dei (God’s mission.)  I am deliberately moving in this assembly idea to getting the children to think about what it means to be inclusive, and what God means when he wants to include people.

Don’t worry about knowing exactly what I said, just take the words on the lines, look for the connections, and guess!  That way it will become your own.

It’s based in part on some stuff the SUPA club team wrote for last week on Peter’s Dream, called “Nobody’s excluded” when you search for it from Acts 10:30–48

You’re right. I better not worry about trying to reconstruct what you said but I like it. None of my mindmaps ever looked as beautiful as this one!

You haven’t seen the hand drawn ones ;-) Some point I will scan one or two in. Its actually quicker to produce them like this, and the software i use ‘reads’ the branch and suggests the pictures, which I just drop into place. Thanks though for the positive vibe – could you manage to construct enough for it to be usable? Feedback from other users would be great because I think its a great way for communicating assembly idea outlines, and others!

I was not able to construct enough for it to be usable, I am afraid, which is not to say that one could not by spending more time with it.
